This blog has been designed to help keep you (University of Manchester Medical School students) up to date with all the latest news on medical careers and training, as well as tips and resources to keep you ahead of the game. It is also a chance to discuss issues affecting your career with careers specialists and other students.

About me:

My name is Alex Langhorn and I am a Careers Consultant from the University of Manchester MLP, Careers & Employability Division. I work primarily with the Medical School to develop careers support for undergraduate medical students. For the past two years I have also worked alongside the North Western Medical Deanery to support Manchester students in their applications for foundation and specialty training. I see students individually through one-to-one appointments at the Careers Service as well as through group workshops organised through the Medical School.

This is not an official blog of the University of Manchester so the content is largely from my own thoughts and research, however I will always link to reputable sources and will report on anything interesting that I find.
